Benteke

I find this completely underwhelming. Should we be looking at another big target man 6ft 3"?

We already got big Andy and I just feel we will start to hoof it again. That's why Klopp doesn't use him and why Rogers didn't use Carroll. We don't need another disaster from the scousers for big money. Benteke looks like he has lost all confidence. We need to play the West Ham way with the ball on the deck. I hope this is a red herring.

You're both idiots.

Benteke would be a sound signing. He's not a one dimensional donkey like Carroll so that comparison doesn't wash. He's also had one rough season after several excellent ones and suddenly he's not good enough?

You lot need to get a grip on reality. We ain't signing Lacazette, this type of signing is more our level right now.

Benteke would be a fucking awful signing.

We need a player that is quick and hard working. A more skillful Sakho, if you will.

Benteke is just another target man, which is why he Liverpool will be deseperate to fuck him off!

Vexed think you've had a mare here. Didn't watch the scouse tonight but just checked their line ups and Benteke was warming the bench until the 83 minute, seems Klopp doesn't think much of him either.

Liverpool aren't set up to play to his strengths, where as I think we are.

Don't become a bad player overnight and we all would have been wanking if we'd signed him a year ago, so at his age I'd be more than happy with him.

It's very unlikely but I'd be more comfortable signing him on loan..

Out of interest, why do people think this season was a one off for him? Could he just not have got lucky at Villa?

My question is would we be getting the Liverpool player or the Villa one? They seem like two completely different players. I would say that if we could get him on a loan initially and Slav is confident that he can get him back to his best, well worth a punt.

After8...because his Villa form was over multiple seasons, and his record before Villa was also comparable. Liverpool is the season in his career that stands out, and even then he still scored about 1 in 3.
